On the instructions of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, the government has approved Rs 62 crore for the arrangements for the Kumbh Mela. 36.90 crore has also been released as the first installment in the sanctioned amount for surveillance, medical system and other works.
Rs 20 crore has been approved for installation of surveillance system and SDRF at Kumbh Mela. Along with this, 4 crore 77 lakhs have been released as the first installment with the approval of 11 crore 91 lakh for other works. 1.16 crore has been released as the first installment with the approval of two crore 89 lakh for the work of Solid Waste Infrastructure in Municipal Corporation Rishikesh.27 crore 43 lakh has been approved for the proposed medical arrangements in 23 sectors of Kumbh Mela. Out of this, an amount of 10 crore 97 lakh has been released as the first installment.

Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik launched the ‘Paint My City’ campaign for Kumbh Mela 2021 from Rishikul Tirahe. He said that Haridwar will have an indelible impression in the minds of devotees after seeing the attractive painting.
Painting work is being done by Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority. In a program organized on Friday at Rishikul Tirahe, the cabinet minister said that religious faith is being presented in a grand, divine and supernatural form. The purpose of which is to awaken the faith in the mind of the devotees. The main purpose of the decoration work in Kumbh Mela is to establish the importance of Kumbh Mela by presenting Haridwar, Uttarakhand and Indian culture to the country and the world.
Ganga water will reach the home of the devotees
Thousands of family members from all over the country at the Gayatri Tirtha Shantikunj greeted the calendar new year on Friday by offering a special sacrifice in the holy havan kunds. On this occasion, Gayatri family chief Dr. Pranab Pandya and the head of the institution Shail Didi said that due to Kovid-19 in Mahakumbh being held in Haridwar, innumerable devotees will not be able to reach Kumbhanagri for Ganga Darshan and bath, in such a situation. The worker will take those devotees to Ganges water from Haridwar to their homes under the ‘Your Door-Reached Haridwar’ scheme.
On the New Year reception, 24 Kundya Gayatri Mahayagya was organized in the Gayatri Tirtha Shantikunj with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, in which many seekers made special sacrifices from Gayatri Mahamantra and Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra in many innings. Dev Culture University family, Brahmavarchas research institute and Shantikunj family met Gayatri Parivar chief and got special guidance for the new year. Also, various rites were performed in large numbers.
Dr. Pranab Pandya and Shail Didi said that for the next four months, the workers of the All World Gayatri Parivar will work under the campaign ‘Aapke Dwar-Reach Haridwar’. Dr. Pandya said that the year 2021 is the golden jubilee year of Shantikunj. In this year, lakhs of youth from India and abroad will be connected with creative programs. Dr. Pandya called for the participation of every section of the society in this campaign.
