With the start of the police constable recruitment process, now the way has been cleared for the recruitment of Inspector. The Cabinet has approved the amendment in the Inspector Service Rules, with this the Police Headquarters has started preparations for recruitment to 150 posts. Police Headquarters has sent the notification of recruitment to the vacant posts of 1521 constables to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission this week.
Now the headquarters is preparing to recruit 150 posts of Inspector in the second phase. For this, the Headquarters was waiting for a change in the Sub-Inspector Service Manual, now the cabinet has given the green signal to the new rules. Under the new rules, now the quota of civil police has become 50 percent, earlier it was only 34 percent.
The remaining 50 percent posts will be divided between Intelligence and PSC. With this, the Home Department has given the green signal to release the result of the recruitment of Inspector Rankers currently pending with the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. The said result will now be released only under the new rules. With this the rankers recruitment has now been terminated forever. Now promotion from constable to head constable in police will be on the basis of seniority.
Manual amendment was being awaited for the recruitment of Inspector. Now under the new rules, the recruitment process will be started in October.
