For the corona vaccination in the first phase, Uttarakhand will get 1.13 lakh doses of coviciled vaccine from the Syram Institute. Instructions were issued by the Central Government to give vaccine doses to the state from the Siram Institute. The vaccine will arrive in the state by flight from Pune by Wednesday evening. A health worker has to take two doses of the vaccine. Accordingly, 50 thousand health workers will be vaccinated. Vaccine will be sought from the center for the remaining health workers.

The data of 87588 health workers has been prepared and uploaded on the Kovin portal for the first stage to apply the Covid vaccine. 1.13 lakh vaccine is being provided to the state from the center. The state will get the covisiled vaccine from the Ceram Institute.

According to the guidelines of the Center, a health worker is to be given a vaccine dose. The second dose will take place within 28 days of the first dose. According to the vaccine, 50 thousand health workers will be vaccinated in the state in the first phase. 10 percent dose of vaccine will be kept in reserve.

The first vaccine will come in a walk-in cooler:
State Nodal Officer and NHM Mission Director Sonika informed that 1.13 lakh vaccines are being available in the state in the first phase. For this, the Central Government has instructed to get the Covishield vaccine from the Siram Institute. The flight from Pune will arrive in the state by Wednesday evening. All preparations will be completed in the state for vaccination.

The Covid vaccine will first come in state-made walk-in coolers in Doon and Haldwani. From here the vaccination dose will be sent to the districts by vaccination van. The walk-in cooler will keep the vaccine at a temperature of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. 317 cold chain points have been identified in the state.

Asha and ANM will also be vaccinated:
NHM Director Dr. Saroj Naithani said that in the first phase, vaccines will be given to the health workers posted at all the District Hospitals, Medical Colleges, AIIMS, Army Hospitals, Sub Hospitals, Major Community Health Centers. It also includes ASHA and ANM.
