Chief Minister Dhami and Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached the spot, talking to the officials

The bus of pilgrims who came from Panna in Madhya Pradesh on Chardham Yatra crashed on Yamunotri Highway. Devotees were going for darshan of Yamunotri Dham. 26 died in the accident, while four injured were given treatment at Damta Primary Health Center. The four injured were referred to Dehradun late in the night.

After post-mortem, the body left for Dehradun:
Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the treatment of those injured in the accident is going on. We have sent the body to Dehradun after post-mortem. This body will reach Dehradun at 10 o’clock.

Air Force planes will reach Khajuraho with dead bodies from the accident:
Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Air Force planes will reach Khajuraho with the mortal remains of those who died in the accident. From where these dead bodies will go to different villages by means of vehicles. The Defense Minister of India has arranged for the delivery of Air Force aircraft. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and I will also visit the site of the incident.

Governor and Chief Minister condoled:
Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Seni) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep grief over the bus accident on Yamunotri Highway. He has prayed to God to give peace to the souls of those who died in the accident and give strength to their loved ones to bear this loss. He also prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.

The PMO announced a relief of two lakh rupees and the state one lakh rupees:
The Prime Minister’s Office has announced a relief of Rs 2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured in the bus accident. On the other hand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a relief amount of one lakh to the relatives of the dead and 50 thousand rupees to the injured. At the same time, Uttarakhand Transport Department has decided to give a relief amount of one lakh rupees to the relatives of the dead and 40 thousand rupees to the injured from the accident relief fund.
