Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that to increase the income of farmers and livestock farmers, the focus should be on branding of products.

He asked the Cooperative Department to monitor the interest-free loans given to farmers. The Chief Minister said that care should be taken that beneficiaries do not have any inconvenience in taking loans.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the Department of Dairy Development and Cooperation at the Secretariat on Tuesday. While reviewing the dairy department, the Chief Minister said that purchase of milch animals from outside states will increase milk productivity of the state. The growth centers of milk and related products being designed should have the same design. It was informed in the meeting that 30 growth centers based on milk and its related products are being opened in the hilly districts.

A target has been set to purchase 2500 milch animals by the end of this year. Reviewing the Cooperative Department, the Chief Minister said that there should be no delay in payment of farmers through wheat and paddy purchasing centers. On the complaint of some small farmers in Udham Singh Nagar having problems in selling paddy, the Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that the small farmers do not face any kind of problem.

Under the Ganga Cow Mahila Dairy Scheme, to get information about how much milk is being provided to the beneficiaries, how are the beneficiaries benefiting from it. There should be a complete diet for the animals. Some of its model blocks should be selected. Minister of State for Cooperation Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Chief Secretary Omprakash, Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram and Director Dairy Jeevan Singh Naganyal were present in the meeting.
