In the first phase, more than 29 percent of the health workers have installed Covid vaccine within six days against the target of 50 thousand. On January 28 too, corona vaccine will be vaccinated in all 13 districts of the state.
Corona vaccination campaign was started in Uttarakhand on 16 January. Since then, health workers were vaccinated in the state for six days. The central government has fixed the day of vaccination for Uttarakhand four days a week.
In the four plains districts Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udhamsingh Nagar, the highest number of personnel has taken the first dose of vaccine so far, while Rudraprayag district has the highest number of 991 personnel vaccinated in the hilly districts.
Dr. Abhishek Tripathi, Chief Operating Officer of the State Control Room, says that the number of vaccination booths is being increased at the district level. Earlier the vaccine was being installed at 34 booths, now the number of booths has increased to 58. Vaccination arrangements have been made at 400 booths in the state. Booths are being increased as per the permission and guidelines of the Central Government.
The state has received 1.13 in the first batch and 92500 covisiled vaccines in the second lot. In the first phase, data of 87588 health workers working in government and private hospitals across the state was prepared for the vaccine.
