Dhami government will make roadmap for five year mega project in Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, work will be done on a long-term mega project for infrastructure development, fulfillment of basic needs. The Pushkar Singh Dhami government is preparing a roadmap for such a five-year project. Finance has sought details of the updated progress of such ongoing projects from all departments and proposals regarding new projects.

Ambitious mega projects like Chardham Alvedar Road, Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line and Bharatmala are running in the state with the help of the central government. Keeping in mind the youth of Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is emphasizing on the infrastructural development of the state.
Keeping this in mind, the work on the mega project has to be done. In fact, the need for big and ambitious projects is being felt to strengthen tourism, transport, agriculture, horticulture as well as small, medium and micro industries sector in the state. Only on their strength will Uttarakhand be able to strengthen its economy in future. Together, the basis for increasing employment and livelihood opportunities can be prepared.
Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anand Badrdhan informed that for the next five years various departments have been asked to prepare new proposals for mega projects. Instructions have been given to the departments in this regard by the Finance Department.

Information about the progress of the ongoing mega project has also been sought. The government will not only monitor these projects, but necessary steps will also be taken to complete them on time. Along with this, efforts will be made seriously to get additional assistance for these projects from the central government.
State will not have to take loan 594 crore installment

At present, the state government will not have to take loan from the market. The Central Government has released an installment of Rs 594.75 crore as revenue deficit grant in the current month.

On June 1, the central government has released an amount of 1449 crores to the state as GST compensation. The GST compensation has been paid to the state till 31st May.
Similarly, the installment of revenue deficit grant to be released every month has also been given. The state has so far received an amount of 2043.75 crore by the central government. Earlier in the current financial year 2022-23, the monthly installment of revenue deficit grant has been released in the months of April and May also. The state has got a big relief due to the amount of revenue deficit grant per month from the Center. The state will not have to take loan from the market by getting the arrears of GST reimbursement.
