Coronas infection is also increasing during the festive season as markets are overcrowded and cold, but sample investigations are slow. Reports of more than 17 thousand samples sent for investigation in the state are pending. Most samples in Haridwar, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar districts are awaiting investigation.

The first case of corona in the state was found in Dehradun on 15 March. Since then, till November 20, more than 12.24 lakh people were screened. In which 70205 people were found to be corona positive. The government is focused on increasing sampling to prevent corona infection.

For this, the government has directed to provide sample investigation report within 24 hours in the plains and 48 hours in the mountainous areas. On November 16, the number of pending samples in the state was about 10 thousand. Which has increased to 17685. At present there are 10 government and private labs in the state for the Covid-19 test.

Secretary Health Amit Singh Negi says that 10 to 12 thousand samples are being examined every day in the state. Every effort is being made to reduce the number of pending samples. Sample collection has increased in districts. It is the government’s effort to get samples tested for people with basic symptoms of corona.
