Foundation stone of STPI Incubation Center was laid in the capital.

The youth should develop new products in the field of information technology, the government will give them financial assistance up to Rs 25 lakh. This was stated by Union Electronic and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad while performing the virtual foundation stone of Incubation Center of STPI, Software Technology Parks of India on Friday. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Union Minister of State Sanjay Dhotre also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of this center in Dehradun.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that we will encourage young inventors in small towns to develop innovative products and provide them financial assistance up to Rs 25 lakh. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat emphasized that this center will provide the desired facility for startups and bolster employment opportunities for the youth of the region. He said that IT Park has done business of Rs 150 crore in 2019-20. This has provided direct employment to over 2500 people. STPI Incubation Center will give more boost to startups.

Chief Minister Trivendra said that STPI Dehradun Incubation Center will be helpful in attracting investment in Uttarakhand. This will increase new employment opportunities in the state. He said that the spread of Bharat Net-2 would play an important role in preventing migration from the mountainous regions in Uttarakhand. Internet will be provided in 5991 gram panchayats with a plan of two thousand crore rupees under Bharat Net Phase-2 project. In the field of drone applications, pilots of several drones are being prepared in Uttarakhand. Which will be of great benefit in the coming time.

Will facilitate incubation and promote exports:
Union Minister of State Sanjay Dhotre said that there are immense possibilities here. Union Ministry Secretary Ajay Prakash Sahni said that we will build STPI COE and provide incubation facility in the new center and promote exports. This will create employment opportunities.

Exports through STPI-registered units have increased from Rs 52 crore in the year 1992 to Rs 4,47,750 crore in 2019-20. STPI Director General, Dr. Onkar Rai, at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new Incubation Center in Dehradun, said that STPI is a single window regulatory services under STP and EHTP schemes aimed at boosting IT / ITES exports from the country, start-up companies and young entrepreneurs. Plug and Play Incubation facilities for, provides high speed data communication services for export.

MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, MLA Ganesh Joshi, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Information Technology Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Senior Director Devesh Tyagi were also present on the occasion.
