Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat instructed the officials to hold the night curfew in Dehradun from 10:30 AM to 5 AM. He has given these instructions keeping in mind the Navratri, wedding ceremony and Ramadan Pak.
After the decision of the state cabinet, a night curfew was imposed in Dehradun city from 10 pm to 5 pm. But there was a demand from the administration that the night curfew should be held from 11 o’clock at night, because it is the month of festivals and weddings.
Therefore, in view of Navratri, wedding ceremonies and Ramadan Pak, the Chief Minister gave instructions to implement the night curfew from 10:30 pm instead of 10 pm for the convenience of the common man. This is only for those places where the night curfew is already in force. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, now the District Magistrate of Dehradun will issue orders regarding the night curfew.
According to District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, a night curfew has been imposed in Dehradun Municipal Corporation and Cantonment Council Garhi Cantt and Clementown. He also instructed the Municipal Corporation to carry out a large sanitation campaign in the city every Sunday till 11 am.
Follow the Covid Guidelines strictly: CM
The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate and the Superintendents of Police to strictly follow the Covid Guidelines to prevent the spread of corona infection. He requested the public to follow the rules related to Covid.
Relief to Married Homes:
The wedding houses will get relief from the instructions of the Chief Minister. Due to the night curfew, he had to bear the brunt of the band, the wading point operators. They will be able to get some relief by getting more time of half an hour. However, the government had already fixed the number of 200 guests at the wedding.
