IG Kumbh Sanjay Gunjyal met the officials of SIDCUL Industries Association in CCR Bhavan and asked for suggestions regarding the arrangements for the upcoming Kumbh Mela. After hearing the suggestion, IG said that traffic on the royal bath will be completely closed. The IG appointed the in-charge of Ranipur sector as the nodal officer to coordinate between the industries and the fair police administration. Instructions were given to form a WhatsApp group and allocate land at Sainik Farm for parking of industrial vehicles to maintain coordination during Kumbh.
IG Sanjay Gunjyal said that due to the possibility of congestion during the bathing festivals, it is necessary to restrict the movement of heavy vehicles and change the route. Under any circumstances, the SIDCUL Association will be made aware in time. Traffic restrictions in the bathing festivals will also be applicable to the movement of employees working in industrial units. Therefore, it is necessary that the industrial units make their own preparations and arrangements from the east keeping in view the experiences of the Mahakumbh and other big fairs held in the past.
The IG said that a complete traffic ban will remain in place for four to five days on the Shahi Snan festival Baisakhi in April. Therefore, industrial units should be prepared for the above circumstances. Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Light Deoli said that industrial units should tell their drivers that if no entry is opened for some time during the Kumbh, then try to bring the vehicles into the industrial area.
Operation of unfit heavy vehicles on national highways during bathing festivals should be avoided. In order to maintain the rate of industrial production, employees should be made to work during the weekly captivity during Kumbh. Vacation should be given on bathing days. Superintendent of Police Kumbh Surjit Panwar said that industrial units should keep their exact number of employees and their complete information, so that there is no dilemma in verification.
Entrepreneurs will provide ambulance service:
IG called upon all industrial units to participate in the work related to social and humanitarian services during Mahakumbh 2021. The office bearers of the association assured to provide ambulance service for Kumbh and to participate in other important social and humanitarian activities.
97% of raw material imports from other states are from established industries in SIDCUL. The same finished goods are sent to outlying regions. Information should be given in advance if the movement of industrial vehicles on the bathing festival is interrupted or the route is changed. Along with the vehicles of devotees, parking of industrial vehicles should also be made.
– Harendra Garg, President SIDCUL Association
Thousands of employees are employed in industries. Arrangements should be made for their movement on the festival of bathing so that the functioning of the units is not interrupted. If possible, separate traffic plans should be made for the traffic of Kumbh and the traffic of industrial vehicles.
– Arun Saraswat, President SIDCUL Industries Association
