From 12 January, there will be a complete ban on the movement of heavy vehicles on the National Highway. Vehicles will be diverted from Mangalore. This traffic system will remain in force till midnight on 14th January.
On the Makar Sankranti, devotees will be able to take a bath in the Ganga. The fair police have prepared the system for the crowd and traffic. Director-General of Police Ashok Kumar is keeping an eye on the preparations for the bath.
They will review the arrangements in the fair auditorium on Friday and test the arrangements. On 12 January, there will also be a briefing of the fair police regarding the preparations for the bathing festival. On 10 January, 10 Para Military Forces will reach Dharmanagri and take over the front. About 25 to 30 lakh devotees are expected to reach Haridwar at the festival of Makar Sankranti.
Devotees will be able to take bath in the Ganga Ghats without following the Covid rules. All bath preparations have been completed. To reduce traffic pressure on the highway, the entry of heavy vehicles on the highway will be stopped from January 12.
