In Uttarakhand, the continuation of the offering of forests to the fire continued on Tuesday. About 105 hectares of forest area were affected. The forest department has estimated a loss of Rs 2.21 lakh. So far 645 hectares of forest have been affected in April.
According to the Fire Bulletin issued by the Forest Department, 34 cases of forest fire were reported in the Garhwal division and 37 in the Kumaon division. 42.85 ha in the Garhwal division and 30.41 ha in Kumaon were affected by forest fires. Despite this, the fire cases were less on Tuesday than on Monday. The incidence of fire in Kumaon is high but the damage was found to be less.
So far in April, about 645 hectares of forest fire have been lost. The department has estimated a loss of around Rs 14 lakh. Even in the forest panchayats, 210 hectares of forest have been affected by the fire so far.
