Last date to apply for Nanda Gaura Yojana is 31 January..

Due to the Corona period in the state, the eligible daughters, who were exempted from applying for the Nanda Gaura Yojana, have been instructed to extend the last date of the application till January 31 for the benefit of the scheme. At the same time, the Anganwadi workers were instructed to be given honorarium by January 1 in every case.

Minister of State for Women Empowerment and Child Development Rekha Arya told the officials in the review meeting of the department in the assembly that due to Covid-19, many girl students eligible for the Nanda Gaura scheme could not get their certificates in time, so that they could not apply. He said that the last date of application should be extended to 31 January, so that eligible girls can take advantage of this scheme.

The departmental minister directed to issue a mandate in this regard today. At the same time, Anganwadi workers expressed their displeasure over the non-payment of honorarium for the last three months, saying that the honorarium must be given by January 1.
Secretary Women Empowerment and Child Development Harish Semwal, Additional Secretary Prashant Arya, Joint Secretary Laxman Singh, Deputy Director SK Singh, District Program Officer Akhilesh Mishra, Mohit Chaudhary, Vikram etc. were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, Minister of State Rekha Arya also expressed displeasure over the non-distribution of rations received by pregnant women and infants through the Anganwadi centers every month. He said that ration should be distributed every month. Said that arrangements should be made to communicate with women suffering from acid, according to their intention, to connect them with employment and self-employment.

In the meeting, instructions were given to make their own software in the state on the lines of the central government for the information of malnourished, highly malnourished children in the districts and to make the information of all such children available through the software.

Departmental Minister of State also said that social organizations should also be motivated to adopt these children on the issue of malnourished and very malnourished children. District officials were also instructed to prepare a diet chart of undernourished and very malnourished children under the guidance of the Health Department.

Instructions were given to the Secretary and all the officers to improve departmental functioning and take strict action in all the work related to public interest. Apart from this, instructions were also given to materialize the Mukhyamantri Saubhagyavati Kit Scheme soon.
