The 60-year-old water lines will now be replaced in Smart City Dehradun. Apart from this, the control center is going to start soon. Gandhi Park will also soon be extended to the parade ground.
On Wednesday, Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik held a review meeting of Smart City Doon in the chamber located in the assembly. In the meeting, the CEO of Smart City, Dr. Ashish Shrivastava informed that on Good Governance Day on December 25, the Integrated Command and Control Center is going to be started at a cost of 294 crores.
He informed that the 60-year-old drinking water supply line in the main city will be replaced and the parade ground will be renovated and extended to Gandhi Park. The 12.12 million rupees Modern Doon Library, High Mask on Smart Pole, WiFi Dehradun will be the main attraction centers of Smart City.
Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik gave instructions to expedite the construction of smart city works to be built in Dehradun at a cost of 1407 crores. He said that due to the provision of state-of-the-art facilities in the smart city, where there will be increased public convenience, it will also help to make Dehradun a green city.
Under this project, work of Smart School, Government Girls Inter College Rajpur Road, Government Inter College Khudbuda, Government Girls Junior High School will be completed by December 15. Water ATM in Smart City will be started after sanitizing.
The smart road will be built in the 8.1-km main city, which will be connected with multi utility duct, sewer works, drain construction, water supply management. Urban Development Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Urban Development Director Vinod Suman were also present in the meeting.
