Another scheme has been formulated at the directorate level to strengthen the traffic system in Uttarakhand.

Now permanent traffic offices will be built at four places in the state. With this, recruitment on 312 posts already proposed is going to be done soon. The traffic police will then be set up as a separate wing.

Actually, till now only Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar have permanent traffic offices. Adequate space and control rooms have been set up here for officers to sit and do other preparations. However, there is no such system at other places. However, there are many areas of the state where there is a huge crowd like these cities.
Now permanent traffic offices will be set up at Tapovan, Uttarkashi, Kotdwar and Hathwani’s Kathgodam in Traffic Directorate, Rishikesh. Till now there were temporary offices here. Which were in very few places.

Along with this, the recruitment process for 312 posts on behalf of the Directorate is also going to start. It consists of 206 constables, 90 inspectors and eight technical specialists. After this recruitment, a separate wing of traffic police will be ready, yet traffic work is taken from regular police.

Preparations are being made to open a traffic office. Soon permanent traffic offices will be built at four places. This will make traffic control easier than before.
