Postal workers protested by holding strike on various demands.

He called for action on the demands, accusing the government of neglect. They say that until the problem is resolved, their movement will continue. At the same time, the second and Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Union Drinking Water Corporation has protested the hanging.

Employees were on a one-day strike under the banner of All India Postal Employees Union, Dehradun, on the call of the National Federation of Postal Employees. Hundreds of postal employees from various post offices in Dehradun district demonstrated in the premises of the Head Post Office at Ghantaghar. Due to this, work in almost all the post offices of Dehradun block was affected. In the meeting organized during this time, the speakers introduced the demands and problems. The major issues of the strike included abolishing the new pension scheme, restoring the old pension scheme, prompt recruitment to vacant posts, implementing a five-day working week in post offices, closing the NPS and setting up the Eighth Pay Commission.

Officials said that the agitation will continue till the problems mentioned in the demand letter sent to the department are resolved. Divisional Secretary Arun Kumar Mulasi, Executive Chairman RP Uniyal, Divisional Chairman BP Yadav, Divisional Secretary Shivam Srivastava, Divisional Secretary of Postman National Union, Vikas Thapa, Divisional President of Gramin Dak Sevak Sangh, RK Madhwal, etc.

Sangh opposes hanging promotions:
Gate meeting was organized at Parade Ground on behalf of Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Union Drinking Water Corporation. District president Matbar Singh Bisht said that promotions are being hung on behalf of the drinking water corporation administration. At the same time, seniority list of Engineer cadre has not been finalized for the last four years. During this period, the office bearers of the union demanded the corporation administration to fulfill the pending demands quickly. The meeting also opposed the allocation of water life mission program to the irrigation department. Provincial General Secretary Ajay Belwal, Arvad Sajwan were also present in the meeting.
