If the scope of public welfare schemes will increase in Uttarakhand, then the ineligible will also be shown the way out.
The Pushkar Singh Dhami government is making special preparations keeping in mind the 13-point vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reach out to the weak and deprived people of every section of the society.
In the proposed CM conclave in the first month of the new year, the Dhami government will also have to give an exam on these points. Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu has asked the concerned departments for the details of the preparations made on the points of the CM Conclave.
Venue for CM Conclave yet to be decided
The venue for the CM Conclave to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is yet to be decided. It is believed that it can be organized in Uttarakhand. Keeping this in mind, the state government is carrying out its preparations.
The agenda of the 13 points marked for the conclave is in the priority of the central government. The Prime Minister has laid special emphasis on how the common man can get the benefit of government schemes. Keeping this in mind, two schemes have been included in these points as best practices of the states of Haryana and Goa.
Like Haryana, relief will be provided to the public by making family identity cards in Uttarakhand. The common citizen will not have to visit government offices for necessary certificates like income, birth, death, residence. On the basis of family identity card, all the necessary certificates will be available to them soon.
Similarly, in the Swayampurna Yojana like Goa, the personnel of the concerned departments will themselves reach the eligible persons to provide benefits of the government schemes. Beneficiaries will not have to wander in government offices. A presentation has been made about both these schemes before the Chief Secretary. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to move forward with a concrete action plan.
Dhami government does not want to leave any stone unturned:
After giving advice and instructions to the bureaucrats in the Mussoorie Chintan Shivir and then in the IAS Week, the Dhami government does not want to leave any stone unturned in the CM Conclave. Point-wise agenda is being worked on.
Part of this agenda is that the ineligible should also be marked quickly to reach the eligible. Special emphasis is being laid on cent percent biometric verification of Aadhaar card. Not only this, steps will be taken for biometric verification in government schools, degree colleges as well as in police stations and jails.
