The Chief Minister welcomed the people of Uttarakhand who returned safely from Afghanistan.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed 56 people of Uttarakhand who returned safely from Afghanistan in the Janata Milan Hall of the camp office at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday evening.


The Chief Minister said that he welcomes those who come back to their homeland after hard struggle and efforts. He said that he has been making continuous efforts for the safe return of the people of Uttarakhand from Afghanistan. In this regard, he addressed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Shri S. Expressing gratitude to Jaishankar as well as National Security Advisor Mr. Ajit Doval, he also thanked him for his cooperation, he said that all this was possible due to the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Modi. India’s self-respect and prestige has increased in the world today because of Prime Minister Shri Modi. The identity of a mighty India has been created. Due to the capable and strong leadership of the country, our people are safe abroad. He said that efforts will continue to bring back the people trapped in Afghanistan safely.
The Chief Minister said that instructions have also been given to the local commissioner to ensure necessary arrangements to bring back the people of Uttarakhand from Delhi to their homes. The Chief Minister said that so far more than 400 people have returned to Uttarakhand. He said that a way would also be found to solve the health and self-employment problems of the people who returned to Uttarakhand. He also wished a happy future to all the returned people along with 56 people present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi said that he too has been in constant touch with the families of the people trapped in Afghanistan. He said that if any of the people who have returned to Uttarakhand want to set up their own enterprise, then cooperation will be given for that.
On this occasion, the officials of Gorkhali Sudhar Sabha also submitted a memorandum related to various problems of Gorkha society to the Chief Minister. On this occasion Special Secretary to Chief Minister Dr Parag Madhukar Dhakate, District Magistrate Shri R. Rajesh Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat, Convener Mr. Chetan Gurung, former Vice President of Kent Ward Mr. Vishnu Gupta, Mrs. Pushpa of Gorkhali reforms Sabha, Mrs. Sudha, Mrs. Uma along with a large number of others were present.
