The Uttarakhand government will purchase two helicopters for disaster management and emergency health services in the mountainous regions.

It will have a double engine and a single engine. At the same time, the process of permitting the landing and parking of helicopters for heli companies will be simplified. Now companies will not have to take permission from the district administration for landing and parking. Permission will now be given only by online application from Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority.

Several important decisions were taken at the board meeting of the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (Yukada) chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at the CM residence on Friday. Companies will not have permission from the district administration for the landing of the helicopter. Landing and parking will be allowed on behalf of Yucada by depositing online fee. District officials will also be informed about this.

The meeting approved the proposal to purchase two double and single engine helicopters for disaster management and heli ambulance services.
