The lawsuit was filed by Mukesh Joshi, a Delhi-based businessman and originally a resident of Trefalghar Apartment Dhorankhas in Dehradun.
Despite contact, the accused Sachin did not return the money
Mukesh had told in the Tahrir at the Rajpur police station that in the year 2012, he had filed a case against Sachin and Nazia in a Delhi police station for destroying their property by forging their signatures. However, later both the parties reached an agreement. In which it was decided that Sachin would give Rs 2.65 crore to Mukesh. Also, till this amount is not paid, a property located on Rajpur Road of the accused will remain mortgaged with Mukesh. According to Mukesh Joshi, the accused Sachin did not return the money despite several contacts.
Meanwhile, he came to know that the accused had taken a loan from the bank on the property mortgaged with him under the agreement. When Mukesh protested against Sachin, he refused to give the amount and started threatening.
After the investigation of the SIT in this case registered at Rajpur police station, the police arrested the accused Sachin Upadhyay in January 2020, while Nazia had escaped. Police had also pasted notice at Nazia’s residence to appear in court, but she did not appear in court.
