IG Sanjay Gunjyal held a meeting with the officials of the National Dharamshala Safety Committee and the Regional Dharamshala Management Committee on Wednesday to prepare the Mahakumbh. In this, IG said that this time the fair will have limited police tents. The police will also take the rooms of dharamshalas and ashrams and pay them. Fair of some old Dharamshalas will also be renovated by the police. Police will use them during the fair period.
Mahesh Gaur, chairman of the National Dharamshala Safety Committee, said that all Dharamshala managers will fully support the Mela administration. CCTV cameras and fire fighting equipment are being installed in all Dharamshalas. Rashtriya Dharamshala Safety Committee General Secretary Vikas Tiwari said that Dharamshala manager will also extend full support to the fair administration as SPO. Together with the fair police and fair administration, Kumbh Mela will be concluded.
He said that a virtual meeting of all Dharamshala managers will be held soon on the instructions of the fair IG and preparations for the Kumbh Mela will be finalized. The officials presented an ancient and very rare picture of Harki Paadi to the fair IG. The patrons of the Regional Dharamshala Manager Committee Gopal Singhal, Vijay Shankar Dubey, Shivkumar Sharma, Ramesh Mittha and Vishnu Goswami etc. were present during this period.
Six enforcement teams of Transport Department will be deployed in Mahakumbh:
During the Mahakumbh, six enforcement teams will be deployed in the entire district by the Department of Transport for controlling vehicles coming from different states of the country as well as their checking. Along with this, checking posts will also be made at six places.
During the Mahakumbh, a proposal has been prepared by the department to repair the transport arrangements and send them to the Mela Officer Administration. A budget of Rs 3.10 crore has also been sought from the Mela administration to repair the transport arrangements. RTO (enforcement) Sandeep Saini said that maintaining the traffic arrangements during the Maha Kumbh is a big challenge in itself.
A large number of trains come to Haridwar during the Mahakumbh. In such a situation, with the continuation of the operation of the trains, six enforcement teams of the Transport Department will be deployed to prevent accidents. Checkposts will also be made at six places for checking the trains.
The teams will be deployed on routes like Roorkee-Haridwar, Dehradun-Haridwar, Rishikesh-Haridwar, Narsan-Haridwar and Luxor-Haridwar. Whereas, check posts will be made at places like Bhadrakali, Brahmapur, Govardhanpur. Told that all preparations for Mahakumbh are being finalized. During Kumbh, there will be no problem regarding traffic arrangements.
Construction started in the arena:
Akharas have also started preparations for the Kumbh Mela. The government has allocated a sum of Rupees one crore each for the permanent sheds and other construction works to thirteen akhadas. On Wednesday, Additional Magistrate Harbir Singh started the work by doing Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of a store house in Sripanchadashnam Juna Arena.
Juna Akhara’s patron Srimanta Hari Giri, Chairman Srimanta Prem Giri, Secretary Srimanta Mahesh Puri, Thanapati Mahant Neelkanth Giri, business leader Kailash Keshwani duly worshiped and laid the first brick with Additional Magistrate Harbir Singh. National General Secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad, Srimanta Hari Giri said that construction works have started in other akharas also under the supervision of Kumbh Mela administration.
Additional District Magistrate Harbir Singh said that the first installment of 40 lakhs has been released to the Akharas in the amount of one crore allocated for permanent construction works. The remaining amount will also be released soon. Plots to be allocated to the camp for setting up camps, leveling, electricity, drinking water, toilets etc. are being arranged. The list of land allotment is being prepared according to the application forms for plots from all the akharas, social organizations and other institutions.
