The 18th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Maharashtra on Saturday. The Prime Minister digitally transferred the honorarium of more than 20 thousand crores to the accounts of more than 9.40 crore farmers. Through which an amount of Rs 169 crore was distributed to 7.98 lakh eligible beneficiary farmers of Uttarakhand. On Saturday, the Agriculture Minister of the state Ganesh Joshi participated virtually in the transfer program of the 18th installment under the Kisan Sammelan program at the camp office. In which the 18th installment was released through DBT to 7,98,038 beneficiary farmer families of the state.
2757.20 crores given to the farmers of the state in 17 installments
So far, 2757.20 crores have been made available to the farmers of the state in 17 installments of the scheme. A large number of farmers from different parts also participated in the program organized at Dehradun Hathibarkala and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi of the state. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Prime Minister Modi always cares about the farmers. He said that after becoming Prime Minister for the third time, Prime Minister Modi’s first decision was for the interests of the farmer and signed for Kisan Samman Nidhi in the first Union Cabinet. He said that this is a symbol of how much Prime Minister Narendra Modi cares about the farmers. Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in his footsteps, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is constantly making efforts to increase the livelihood of farmer brothers by taking several public welfare schemes and innovative initiatives towards doubling the income of farmers. He also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Farmers can apply online or offline
It is worth noting that the objective of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to provide financial assistance to the farmers. Under this scheme, direct income support is provided to eligible farmer families at the rate of Rs 6,000 per year. This income support is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers in three equal installments of Rs 2,000, so that transparency can be ensured in the entire process.
Farmers can apply online or offline, for which necessary documents like Aadhar card, copy of Khatauni, bank account details are required. Initially, this scheme was started only for small and marginal farmers (holding less than 02 hectares), but after the decision taken by the Cabinet on May 31, 2019, this scheme was implemented for all the farmers across the country. On this occasion, Secretary Agriculture SN Pandey, Agriculture Director KC Pathak, Joint Director Dinesh Kumar, Kisan Morcha State President Jogendra Pundir, Divisional President Pradeep Rawat, Poonam Nautiyal, Bhupendra Kathet, Chunni Lal and hundreds of farmers were present.
