Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has opened the budget bundle to speed up the construction work of roads and bridges in the state. An amount of 67.95 crores has been approved for the construction of roads and bridges in nine assembly constituencies of six districts. On the other hand, the Chief Minister has approved Rs 15 lakh to Pauri district and Rs 10 lakh each to the remaining 12 districts to avoid cold wave in the state. After the rainy season is over, the government is now emphasizing on increasing the pace of construction work. An amount of 42.87 crores has been given for various construction works in five assembly constituencies of four districts in Kumaon division and 25.08 crores for four assembly constituencies of three districts of Garhwal division. An amount of 12.45 crore has been approved for the work of 8.2 km canal covering from Panchakkki Chauraha to Kamaluwaganja and construction of 3.1 km from Chauphala Chauraha to Kathghariya Chauraha under Kaladhungi Assembly Constituency of Nainital district. Financial approval of 6.38 crore has been given for asphalting and improvement of the connecting road from Chaykhan to Ballia for Pokhri-Bagania and Pokhri Binwal in Jageshwar Assembly Constituency of Almora district. Similarly, under the Chief Minister’s announcement, 9.58 crore has been given for the improvement work of Balidani Shiromani Chilkoti Motor Road in Champawat Assembly Constituency of Champawat district and 5.98 crore rupees have been given for the improvement of internal roads of Tanakpur with hotmix DBM.
In Lohaghat Assembly Constituency, Rs 3.46 crore has been approved for the improvement work of Banoli Sudarka, Thantha motor roads from Kalsan Thantha motor road. Under the state plan, an amount of Rs 2.2 crore was approved for the reconstruction and widening work of the road from the lake to the Chamunda temple in the transit camp in Rudrapur assembly constituency of Udham Singh Nagar district and Rs 2.82 crore for rebuilding the connecting roads in the main market under Rudrapur block with hotmix.
Lambarpur to Langha motor road will be double lane
Chief Minister Dhami gave Rs 10.86 crore for the work of converting the Lambarpur to Langha motor road in Vikasnagar assembly constituency of Dehradun district from one and a half lanes to two lanes. Under the state scheme, Rs 5.84 crore was approved for the construction of 55 meter extension bridge on Rispana river near Chuna Bhatta in Dehradun-Raipur Road in Rajpur Road Vidhan Sabha constituency, Rs 3.70 crore for Fidogi-Dhanolti motor road from Bilodi bridge in Jaunpur block of Dhanolti assembly constituency of Tehri district and Rs 2.19 crore for the construction of 20 meter girder bridge on Barotiwala-Ambadi motor road. Rs four lakh was approved for the work of expansion of Kamal River Gunyatigaon motor road in Purola assembly constituency of Uttarkashi district and Rs 26 lakh for the construction of interlocking till Inter College Mandir Marg in Gunyatigaon.

Rs 1.35 crore approved for protection from cold wave
On the other hand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami approved an amount of Rs 1.35 crore to the districts for protection from cold wave. With this amount, bonfires will be lit as well as blankets will be distributed. The Chief Minister approved an amount of Rs 15 lakh for Pauri district and Rs 10 lakh each for the remaining 12 districts in this item.
