In the Unnati Apple program organized by Coca-Cola India and Indo Dutch Horticulture Technologies in Andi under Project Unnati of Uttarakhand, State Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi said that in the next five years, Uttarakhand will be made a major apple producing state. will go.
On this occasion, while addressing the apple growers from different regions of the state, he said that there are many possibilities of development in hardiculture, which will help in checking migration. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to double the income of farmers would be fulfilled by such schemes. He said that the State Government has decided to give an incentive amount of Rs. He said that the State Government is determined that in the coming five years, apples would come ahead of Himachal in production, whereas the fruit growers would not have to go to Himachal for training, their training would be done here. He announced on this occasion that along with electricity, water and roads would be arranged to the fruit growers. On this occasion, Secretary Horticulture Shailesh Bagoli said that whatever products are available in the state, how to make them reach the market, so that they get good money. Will have to try it. Training will be given to the cultivators to increase the production so that the farmers can be benefitted and the tenants should make efforts in this direction. Efforts will be made to make the schemes of the government reach the farmers so that they can get the benefit. Training will have to be arranged in your own state so that you do not have to go out. On this occasion, Sudhir Chadha, Director, Indo Dutch Hardiculture, said that in the first hundred gardens, the help of Coca-Cola tried to bring a revolution in this direction. In the coming four years, it was seen that now the farmer is taking a turn. Sudhir Chadha said, “Project Apple Unnati in partnership with Coca-Cola India has increased the capabilities of thousands of farmers of the state of Uttarakhand. In fact, Coca-Cola India is one of the first institutions that have tried to take positive initiatives in the field of sustainable agriculture. The success of this project is really encouraging to the youth and we have seen the opposite of migration in the state. We are grateful to Coca-Cola India for bringing this revolution in apple cultivation and for their continued support. Under Coca-Cola India’s Fruit Circular Economy initiative, 20 model farmers were awarded for good farming practices. The program was also addressed by Director Hardiculture Harminder Singh Baweja, Devyani Rajya Lakshmi Rana, Director CSR Coca Cola India Rajesh Ayapilla. On this occasion, former minister Narayan Singh Rana, the convener of the program, welcomed all the guests and gave detailed information about the Unnati Apple scheme.
