Raipur police station has sealed the house of the accused named in several cases related to robbery, drug smuggling, theft and gangsterism. Police station incharge Kundan Ram said that gangster Kapil Dev, resident of Rajiv Nagar Tarli Kandauli Raipur, was involved in drug smuggling, theft in locked houses and other criminal incidents by forming an organized gang.
The accused had illegally acquired wealth through crime. Five cases of drug smuggling, beating, attempt to murder, theft and robbery are registered against him in Raipur police station, while one case of robbery is registered in Dalanwala police station. On January 7, 2022, Raipur Police Station Head had registered a gangster case against gang leader Kapil Dev and his associate Prakhar Dwivedi, resident of Rajiv Nagar Tarli Kandauli Raipur.
When information was gathered about Kapil Dev’s illegal property, it was found that he has a residential building worth Rs 50 lakh in Chidowali. Its report was sent to the Court District Magistrate. The District Magistrate ordered the attachment of Kapildev’s house. On Tuesday night, Raipur police station sealed the property of the accused. SSP Ajay Singh said that illegal property acquired illegally by habitual criminals is being identified. Soon similar action will be taken against other criminals.
