Ganesh Joshi, Agriculture Minister of Uttarakhand and Chairman of the National Council of Agricultural Marketing Boards of the states, left for Mexico on Sunday. He will participate in the international conference to be held from October 25 under the auspices of the World Association of Wholesale Markets in Cancún city of Mexico. Along with Agriculture Minister Joshi, Dr. Jagveer Singh Yadav, Managing Director of the National Council of Agricultural Marketing Boards of the states and Vijay Thapliyal, Regional Director and Secretary of Agricultural Production Market Committee, Dehradun, have also gone. Representatives from 112 countries will participate in the international conference which will run till October 28.
In the conference, there will be discussion on promoting agricultural marketing and taking steps to solve the challenges arising at the international level in this path. It was told that two days after the conclusion of this conference, another conference will be held in Germany on agricultural marketing and challenges. Agriculture Minister Joshi will also participate in this.
