Uttarakhand has been given the Tata Memorial Award for its better performance in 42 different health indices. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat received this award on behalf of the state. He said that receiving this award will not only boost the morale of the health department personnel but will also infuse a new energy in them, due to which better work can be done in the health sector in the state in future.
In a program organized at India Habitat Center in New Delhi, Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is providing health benefits to the people through various schemes. As a result, Uttarakhand has received this prestigious award.
Government is committed to strengthening
Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government is committed to strengthening and expanding health services. For this, health awareness camps are also being organized by the government from time to time. In this, the feedback, suggestions and complaints of common people are being collected and effective steps are being taken on them.

In this felicitation ceremony organized by Population Foundation of India, Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran handed over a memento and a check of Rs 5 lakh to Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat.
