Clouds kept playing hide and seek in Doon since Sunday morning. Dense clouds camped in the afternoon and light to moderate rain occurred with thunder and lightning. Due to which a drop in mercury was recorded and the weather became pleasant in the evening. There have been several rounds of light rain in the surrounding areas for three days. According to the Meteorological Department, most of the areas of the state are likely to remain partly to generally cloudy today. There may be heavy spells of rain with thunder and lightning in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Tehri, Almora, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this.

For the first time this month, the maximum temperature of Doon has become normal. At the same time, other areas of the state are getting relief from the scorching heat for the last three days. According to the Director of Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, most of the areas of the state may remain cloudy today. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning showers in the mountainous areas and showers and gusty winds in some places in the lower areas. Along with this, there may be intense spells of rain in most areas for the next four days.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert
