The stage of ‘Samvadi’ decorated in Dehradun, inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami; Triveni of thoughts flowed

admin July 1, 2024

The festival of expression ‘Jagran Samvadi’ got off to a grand start in the capital Dehradun on Saturday. This is the first time that ‘Samvadi’ is being organized in Dehradun. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that ‘Jagran Samvadi’ is an innovative initiative of Dainik Jagran, the largest Hindi newspaper, of which he feels proud to be a part. On this platform of ‘Samvadi’, scholars from all over the country will openly express themselves on various topics for two days. This will definitely benefit the entire society. On this occasion, the list of Jagran bestsellers for the first quarter of the year 2024 was also released. Under the ‘Hindi Hain Hum’ campaign, the two-day ‘Jagran Samvadi’ was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dhami at Fairfield by Marriott on Mussoorie Road by lighting a lamp in front of the picture of Dainik Jagran founder late Purnchandra Gupta, former editor-in-chief Narendra Mohan and Mother Saraswati. On this occasion, he said that the dreams of the youth are the priority of his government. The aim behind bringing the ‘anti-copying law’ is that the selection of youth in government jobs should be done with complete transparency.

It is heartening that the governments of other states including the Center are also adopting this law as a model. He said that despite all this, the overall development of the state cannot happen by relying only on government jobs. For this, the government is paying special attention to the private sector and self-employment. This is also the main aim behind promoting investment in the state. The government is making serious efforts to enrich pilgrimage and tourism and its pleasant results are also visible. The Chief Minister said that the public has expressed confidence in the development work of the Central and State Government and this is also their strength. He also said that our allies are also not disagreeing with the Uniform Civil Code Law. This proves the relevance of this law.

On the first day, there were discussions on various topics in four sessions. In the first session, when the discussion on the topic ‘Meaning of Literature’ began, writer Ashok Kumar, storyteller Jiten Thakur, poet Padmashree Leeladhar Jagudi and senior writer Lalit Mohan Rayal expressed their feelings frankly. The gist was that literature not only frees society from frustrations, but also saves it from depression.

Literature has emotions, thoughts, sensitivity and above all, it has a sense of vision. Literature has the interests of the entire humanity hidden in it, but it should not be forgotten that it also contains the writer’s desire to achieve fame. It also came out in the discussion that being a reader is better than being a writer, that is, only a group of better readers gives birth to better writers. This session was conducted by Dr. Sushil Upadhyay.

Taking forward the discussion on the topic ‘Kashi and Devbhoomi’, historian Vikram Sampat frankly discussed all the contradictions of history with writer Rahul Chaudhary. He says, history itself introduces us to our culture and civilization. It is a big medium to connect with the roots. If this history is distorted, inspired by a particular ideology, there will be an attempt to defame a religion or sect, then our face will be seen distorted in such history. In the true sense, the biggest achievement of true history is that the real facts should be presented to the society, away from any kind of politics and ideology. Now it was the turn to discuss ‘Gulzar Saab’. In this session, writer Yatindra Mishra, while talking to novelist Advaita Kala, tried to touch various aspects related to the personality and work of lyricist Gulzar. He tells that Gulzar’s famous film ‘Andhi’ faced the restrictions of the Emergency. Later, this scene was added in the film in which the heroine shows the picture of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and says that she wants to become like her by going into politics.
The topic of the last session was, ‘What is the status of a lyricist’. In this, lyricist Piyush Mishra discussed his book with poet and journalist Anjum Sharma and told how his mind changed. Piyush said that his work had been praised a lot. He knew what mistakes he had made in his life. He had to bring out the truth of life. He got some kind of intellectual knowledge and rebirth as well. He gave expression to what was true.
