36 passengers died in a bus accident in Almora, Uttarakhand on Monday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident. Chief Minister Dhami has directed the Commissioner Kumaon Division to conduct a magistrate inquiry into the incident. The Transport Headquarters has constituted an investigation team to investigate the accident.
Four lakh rupees each to the relatives of the deceased
At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to suspend the ARTO enforcement of the concerned area of Pauri and Almora. The Chief Minister has given instructions to provide assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh each to the injured.

Let us tell you that the bus crashed and fell into a deep gorge in Kupi area of Sult development block of Almora district. 36 people on the bus died in the accident.
24 people were injured in the accident.
Three seriously injured have been admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh, one to Sushila Tiwari Hospital Haldwani and 15 to Ramnagar Sub-District Hospital.
55 passengers were sitting in the bus, while the capacity of the bus is 43 passengers including the driver.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed grief over the accident.
He said that very sad news was received about the casualties of passengers in the unfortunate bus accident in Marchula of Almora district.
District administration has been instructed to carry out relief and rescue operations with speed.
The bus of Garhwal Motors left from Golikhal of Pauri district towards Ramnagar on Monday morning with passengers.
As soon as the bus reached Kupi area of Salt, the driver suddenly lost control of the bus. And the bus fell into the ditch.
20 passengers died on the spot in the accident. While other seriously injured passengers died during treatment at Ramnagar Hospital.
Many leaders including President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath have expressed grief over the Almora accident.
