Weather is likely to change from Monday in most of the districts across the state. There is a possibility of light rain at some places in eight hill districts. Weather will generally remain dry in the plain districts.
Weather remained dry across the state on Sunday. Maximum temperature increased by four degrees Celsius. Heat was felt as the day temperature went above 25 degrees Celsius. However, it is still cold during night and morning. The maximum temperature of Dehradun was 25.1 degrees Celsius, four degrees Celsius above normal, and the minimum temperature was 8.5 degrees Celsius, one degree Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature of Pantnagar was 26.0 degrees Celsius, four degrees Celsius above normal, and the minimum temperature was 5.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Mukteshwar was 15.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees Celsius above normal, and the minimum temperature was two degrees Celsius. According to the Director of Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, light rain is expected at some places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar on Monday and Tuesday. The weather may remain dry in the remaining districts.
