
The state government has started the process of giving government jobs to the players who won medals for Uttarakhand in the 38th National Games. Players of Uttarakhand won a total of 103 medals in the National Games. Out of these, every player of the teams that won medals in team events will be given government jobs.
For a government job from this quota, the player must have a domicile or permanent residence certificate of Uttarakhand. Sports Minister Rekha Arya has instructed the officials to take quick action in this regard.
Instructions to provide cash prize money as soon as possible
After the meeting held in the camp office, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the officials have been asked to prepare a proposal for job offers to the medal winners and bring it to the cabinet soon. This process will be completed quickly. Apart from this, the process of implementing the cash prize money announced by the government for the medal winners has also been started. In the meeting, Sports Minister Rekha Arya directed the officials to get the cash prize money of the players as soon as possible. The special thing is that the players winning gold medals will be given jobs with 4200 grade pay, while the players winning silver and bronze medals will be offered jobs with 2800 or 2000 grade pay. These jobs will be given to the players mostly in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and Police Department. In the meeting, the Sports Minister said that there is a need to make a policy for the maintenance and operation of the sports infrastructure facilities like stadium, auditorium, multi-purpose hall, cycling velodrome, shooting range etc. that are ready in the state now. The Sports Minister told the officials to prepare a plan for this and take rapid steps in this direction. In the meeting, Sports Minister Rekha Arya also directed the officials to start the process of selecting new players for the Chief Minister’s Player Udyaman Unnayan Yojana and Chief Minister’s Player Protsahan Yojana. The Sports Minister told the officials that keeping in mind the calendar of the Education Department, the dates of the trials should be announced soon after discussing with the officials of all the districts. For this, one should not wait for the opening of schools and colleges in the next session, but the process should be completed from now itself.
