Now there will be an integrated course for all paramedical subjects in the state. Under this, 56 professional degrees will be recognized in 10 categories. The advantage of this will be that the youth who get diploma or degree on these courses in the state will be able to go to any state of the country along with central services and provide their services. These degrees and diplomas will be valid in every state. Till now this was not possible. For this, the cabinet has approved the formation of State Allied and Health Care Commission i.e. State Allied and Health Care Council in the state.
The subject of State Allied and Health Care Council was brought up in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday. The Central Government had implemented the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act in the year 2021. According to this Act, every state had to constitute State Allied and Health Care Council. So far 15 states have formed these councils. Now Uttarakhand has also joined this category. Actually, till now all the states run paramedical subjects in their states. It was observed that many states did not recognize the courses of paramedical subjects run by each other. Due to this, the youth going from one state to another or coming from other states to the state were not taken in government services. This issue was also raised before the center. Then it was observed that National Medical Council has been formed for doctors and National Nursing Council for nursing staff. Their syllabus is decided through these councils.
Due to the same curriculum at the national level, the youth studying from the colleges affiliated to them easily get employment in any state. In such a situation, it was decided to form a single council at the national level in the field of paramedical as well. Which has been formed. In this connection, the Health Department proposed the formation of State Allied and Health Care Council before the Cabinet, which has been approved by the Cabinet.
