The online application process for Chief Minister Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme through Samarth portal has been started from Wednesday. In this, applications will be accepted till 15th December. Higher Education Secretary Shailesh Bagoli said that the Chief Minister Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme will develop research and high quality educational environment in government universities and colleges.
Selection of excellent research proposals
Professors, students and research scholars are being encouraged for research to promote diversification of higher education, internationalization, environmental change and new technologies. After applying on the Samarth portal, the principal or registrar of the institution will forward the application form through the online portal. After this, excellent research proposals will be selected through evaluation through the State Level Research and Development Cell, Selection and Evaluation Committee.
Grant up to Rs 15 lakh
Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that in accordance with the provisions and values of the National Education Policy, the government higher educational institutions of the state will develop as centers of excellent education and research. This ambitious plan will create an environment of innovation. He informed that the selected research proposals will be given a grant of up to Rs 15 lakh. In special circumstances it can be increased to Rs 18 lakh. Two years’ time will be given to complete the research work. In research projects worth more than Rs 5 lakh, it will be mandatory to involve regular students or research scholars as research associates.
