Today, Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya reached a private cinema hall in Dehradun, where she watched The Kerala Story movie along with her departmental sisters. She said that she is shocked to see this movie and also said that she admires the courage of the film maker who made such a film and dared it. Minister Rekha Arya said that this movie should be shown in the auditorium of every college and university of the country so that every boy and girl studying there can understand their culture and do not get trapped in any further trap!
Sharing her experiences with girls and women, Minister Rekha Arya said that this is not just a film, but a form of deadly incidents happening at the local, national and international levels, which need to be shown sensitively. It is a powerful medium. Today I had only one aim of watching this film with girls and women that in such a situation daughters and women need to be very careful in the society. If she becomes aware on such issue in time, then she can help in building an ideal nation by protecting herself and this society. There we need to encourage girls and women in the field of technology, because of the above incidents, today we are getting worried about the safety of daughters. It is my wish that adolescent girls and women should strengthen themselves mentally and remain alert from anti-social incidents. He also distributed health kits to the participants on the occasion.
On this occasion, Dr. Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Gana and Kishoriya, officers of Women Empowerment Department were present.
