A woman cheated Rs 10 lakh from a man on the pretext of getting a job in the secretariat. The woman claimed to be working as a senior assistant in the AYUSH department of the state government and had asked for Rs 27 lakh for the job. Out of this, Rs 16 lakh was returned, but more than ten lakh have not been returned yet. During this time the woman had also given a fake joining letter to the person. After the complaint, Nehru Colony police station has registered a case and started investigation. With whom he talked about his younger brother’s job.
Deepak Rawat said that he has a friend, Ankit Naithani, who knows Ravikanta Sharma, resident of Alaknanda Enclave, Jogiwala. He is working on the post of Senior Assistant in the Government, District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Office, Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal.
After this, when the victim met Ravikanta Sharma, the woman told that she has provided jobs to many unemployed people in ONGC, Secretariat, Health Department, Assembly etc. To win trust, the woman showed transactions of many people on her mobile number. Ravikanta Sharma said that the appointments for the Assembly had been made, the notification of which has been done. This recruitment is to be held in the year 2022. If you want to get a job, you will have to deposit Rs 27 lakh in your account immediately. By February-March 2023, the application for appointment of brother from Uttarakhand Administration will come from Uttarakhand Secretariat.
According to the victim, he fell into the trap of the woman and transferred Rs 10 lakh to her account. After this the woman sent a notification of recruitment to the secretariat and said that the joining letter is ready. Gradually the woman duped him of Rs 27 lakh. Apart from Ravikanta, some amount was also deposited in the accounts of Deepak Rawat, Narendra Prakash Sharma and Priya Sharma. The woman sent her brother’s joining letter on WhatsApp and asked for Rs 2 lakh. After this he called him to his residence, but made him return on the pretext of surprise inspection of the Chief Minister at the Secretariat. When the appointment letter was examined, it was found to be fake. On being pressurized, he returned Rs 17 lakh, but did not return the remaining amount. After the complaint, the police have registered a case against Ravikanta Sharma, Deepak Rawat, Narendra Sharma and Priya Sharma and started investigation.
