The Lok Sabha election results in Uttarakhand have been exactly as expected. The BJP created history by winning all five seats for the third time in a row. The historic victory in the Lok Sabha elections has also increased the political stature of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. This was the first Lok Sabha election in the state under his leadership, in which his strategic skills were to be tested and he was successful in scoring 100 percent marks in it.
The hero of the victory of the BJP in this election in the state was definitely Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but Chief Minister Dhami also remained continuously engaged. In fact, in this election, Chief Minister Dhami’s political experience as well as strategic skills were to be tested. Within two years of his second term, Chief Minister Dhami took other historic decisions including the initiative of Uniform Civil Code, due to which he emerged as the new face of BJP in the country. In such a situation, the responsibility of making the lotus bloom on all five seats in the first Lok Sabha election fought in the state under his leadership was on his shoulders. That is, his reputation was directly linked to this election. In view of all this, Chief Minister Dhami became active in the state in terms of elections even before the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections. In this sequence, he organized a series of Nari Shakti Vandan programs and a huge crowd also gathered in this program organized in all the districts.
This indicated that the BJP would create history this time. During the election campaign, the Chief Minister addressed 68 public meetings, road shows in all 70 assembly constituencies of the state. Not only this, he was naturally present in 42 meetings and rallies of other big leaders including the Prime Minister in the state.
Now that the election results have come and the lotus has bloomed for the third time in a row on all five seats, this has further increased the stature of the Chief Minister. Experts say that Chief Minister Dhami’s chemistry with Prime Minister Modi has worked. The Chief Minister was successful in sensing the mood of the people of Devbhoomi. Along with this, he has also proved his leadership ability in front of the top leadership of the party.
