On Tuesday, 24 children, who were victims of torture in a madrassa running without registration in Veerbhatti, Nainital, got freedom. After appearing before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and the Juvenile Court, the children were handed over to their relatives. Many children became emotional after seeing their parents. On October 8, on the instructions of DM Vandana, the police and administration team jointly raided a madrassa run by the name Anjuman Iqra near Veerbhatti. Investigation revealed that the madrasa operating since 2010 has not received recognition from the Madrasa Board. 24 children were being given education here. The health of the children was bad. There were boils on his body. They were shown dirty films at night.
Counseling of children was done
It is feared that he was being prepared for some special purpose. After this, the next day the administration sent 24 children living in the madrasa to the madrasa located in Banbhulpura, Haldwani. The statements of the children were recorded on Monday and they were not allowed to meet their relatives. On Tuesday, the relatives of all these children were called to the District Probation Office located in Haldwani. Where they were counseled and necessary documents of the children were submitted.

City Magistrate Richa Singh said that all the children have been handed over to their relatives. Investigation of the madrasa revealed that 37 children were registered in it. Information about the whereabouts of the remaining children was not available. This madrasa was not registered with the Minority Welfare Department, Education Department or any government department.
