State level committee will be formed to expedite the upcoming projects in the tourism sector of Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced this on Tuesday. He said that in the coming five years, the state would be made a top state in the field of tourism.
In a hotel located on Rajpur Road, a discussion was held on the possibility of investment in the hospitality sector in the state by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB) with the aim of promoting the tourism sector and promoting investors. After launching this program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the schemes related to tourism would be implemented expeditiously to promote tourism in the state.
For this a committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram. In this committee, officers of Finance, Housing, Public Works Department, Police, Pollution Control Board and other related departments will be included as members. The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand guarantees safe investment to investors. The state government is trying to provide all possible help to the investors. The government aims to make Uttarakhand a top priority in the tourism sector in the coming five years. Chief Minister Dhami said that whatever suggestions have been received to increase the possibilities of tourism in the state, they will be included in the further action plan. Whatever problems are raised by the stakeholders related to the tourism sector, every effort will be made to solve them.
He said that there is immense potential for tourism in the state, under which the air fuel prices have been reduced by 18 percent. CM Dhami said that a new work culture has come in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that after three months there will be dialogue with all tourism investors again. Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said that the policies made by the government for the investors will be simplified. Secretary Tourism Dilip Jawalkar said that after getting the status of industry, there is immense scope for investment in tourism. He said that our aim is to invest five thousand crore rupees in the tourism sector in the next five years.
UTDB Additional Chief Executive Officer (Infra) Pooja Garbyal said that on behalf of the Tourism Department, we are moving towards our goal in collaboration with the government and investors. Secretary SN Pandey, Additional Chief Executive Officer (Adventure Wing) of UTDB Col Ashwini Pundir, Additional Chief Executive Officer (Eco Tourism) PK Patro, Additional Director and Executive President Poonam Chand were present in the program.
