Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also announced the abolition of the income limit for Divyang scholarship from class one to VIII, so that more and more students can take advantage of it. He announced that the Divyangjan marriage incentive amount will be increased from Rs 25 thousand to Rs 50 thousand. “Mukhya Sevak Samvad” is becoming a new example of sensitive governance and transparent administration in the state. In the fifth edition of the dialogue held on Thursday, the CM interacted directly with senior citizens and Divyangjan. During this, beneficiaries of old age pension were also present, who shared their experiences. The Chief Minister listened to their problems seriously and directed the officials for quick solution. The main focus of the program was on senior citizens and Divyangjan schemes. The beneficiaries told that now old age pension is being received on time and both the elders of the family are getting its benefit. Also, the pension amount has been increased from Rs 1200 to Rs 1500, which has given them convenience in running household expenses. On this occasion, CM Dhami inaugurated the software of Divyangjan Vivah Protsahan Yojana and Rashtriya Parivarik Labh Yojana. Taking another sensitive initiative, CM Dhami said that old age homes with facilities will be constructed in all the districts of the state. At present, construction work is in progress in many districts and soon modern old age homes will be available in every district. Senior citizens called this announcement a respectable opportunity. At the same time, Divyangjan beneficiaries said that the government is no longer limited to papers, but stands with them in reality. After the dialogue, the Chief Minister also had food with senior citizens and Divyangjan. This initiative matches the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which emphasis has been laid on connecting the deprived class, women power and youth with the schemes.
