Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat informed that the National Education Policy-2020 has been duly implemented in the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has inaugurated Balvatika in a program organized at Directorate General of Education today. With this, Uttarakhand became the first state in the country where the National Education Policy-2020 has been implemented. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated Directorate of Primary Education building and laid the foundation stone of SCERT building. Dr. Rawat thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for this. He said that this is a big achievement for the state during the 100-day tenure of the government. Dr. Rawat informed that in the first phase, Balvatika classes are being started for children in the age group of 5-6 in 4457 Anganwadi centers located in primary schools. Which will be operated by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development. Necessary academic approval will be provided by the Department of School Education for the conduct of Balvatika classes. The physical, cognitive, social and environmental, linguistic, creative, emotional/emotional development of children in these balalaikas will be done through play activities. Children will be provided with ample opportunities to learn and gain experience in Balwatikas. According to the instructions of NCER for successful operation of Balvatikas, teacher handbook and exercise book health, dialogue and creation have been prepared by the State Council of Educational Research and Training. Dr. Rawat claimed that the kindergarten classes run by the government would be much better than the classes run by private schools. Addressing the program, Dr. Rawat said that within a year, the education department would be made 100% online and Vidya Samiksha Kendra would be opened in the state. All the problems of teachers will be removed and they will also be freed from BLO work. So that teachers can concentrate fully on reading. The departmental minister said that after assessing the children failing in various classes, extra classes would be given in the concerned subject from next year. Apart from this, students who fail in the board examinations will be given a chance to improve the marks. He said that one teacher is posted for 15 students in the state as compared to other states. Eight thousand teachers have been promoted in the state, while seven thousand teachers have been appointed under various subjects.
Local MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, Additional Secretary Education Deepti Singh, Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Director Secondary RK Kunwar, Director Primary Education Vandana Garbyal, Director SCERT Seema Jaunsari, Chief Education Officer Dehradun Mukul Sati and all departmental officers were present in the program.
