Dengue outbreak is not taking the name of stopping. It has more effect in Doon. Not a day goes by when new cases of dengue are not found here. Dengue was confirmed in 11 people in Dehradun on August 24 as well. These cases have been reported from different regions. Ten of these people are admitted in Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and one in Doon Medical College Hospital.
363 cases of dengue so far this season
So far this season, 363 cases of dengue have been found in the district, out of which 316 patients have become healthy. At present there are 46 active cases of dengue. Seeing the increasing number of dengue patients, the scope of investigation is also being increased. Last Thursday, 1403 samples were taken for ELISA test.

Overall, the increasing activity of Aedes mosquito, which spreads dengue disease, remains a cause for concern. Source reduction in more than twenty thousand houses, the health department and the municipal corporation claim that all possible steps are being taken to prevent dengue. On August 24 also, ASHAs and volunteers reached more than 20 thousand houses and did source reduction.
More than seven thousand larvae destroyed
Over 7,000 larval sites were destroyed. People were made aware to prevent dengue. Everyone has been appealed not to allow water to accumulate in empty utensils in their homes and surrounding areas. Because the dengue-causing mosquito thrives in stagnant clean water. Continuous fogging is being done in dengue affected areas.
