Only six days have passed since the Chardham Yatra started, but in the initial days itself the crowd of pilgrims has broken all the records of last year. 155584 devotees reached Kedarnath Dham alone in six days. This number is 69 percent more than last year. Last year, 91838 pilgrims reached Kedarnath in five days.
Highest number of people visiting Kedar Baba’s shrine
There is maximum enthusiasm among the devotees regarding Kedarnath Yatra. This is the reason why the number of people visiting Baba’s door is highest. The path of faith has drawn them so much that even problems like chaos and traffic have proved to be dwarf in front of them. It is believed that the enthusiasm of the devotees coming from all over the country and the world is going to create a record in Char Dham this time too. Last year, 19.61 lakh devotees had darshan of Baba Kedarnath during the entire yatra. Meanwhile, 337732 pilgrims have visited the four Dhams in just six days. Whereas last year this figure was 194342.
Long lines for darshan in temples
The enthusiasm of the pilgrims is such that they have to stand in long queues to have darshan in the temples. Have to visit till late night. Last year, more than 56 lakh devotees had participated in the Char Dham Yatra that ran from April 22 to November 18. Due to the Covid period in the year 2020 and 2021, Chardham Yatra could not be conducted completely. Then in 2021 only 5.29 lakh pilgrims and in 2020 only 3.30 lakh pilgrims had arrived. In 2019 this figure was 34.77 lakh.
