Eight companies of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) have been called for the systematic and safe conduct of the Yatra. Along with this, 12 companies of armed forces will be deployed. The Kanwar Yatra will be under the supervision of 7,000 police officers and employees. Apart from this, the entire journey will be monitored by drones. The police force involved in Kanwar duty will be deployed on July 19 itself. The entire Kanwar Mela area has been divided into 14 super zones, 36 zones and 130 sectors. During the Kanwar Yatra, there is a threat of terrorist incidents at railway stations. In such a situation, the number of GRP and RPF personnel is being increased at all railway stations in Uttarakhand, especially Haridwar and Rishikesh. GRP and RPF personnel from all railway stations of Kumaon have been deployed in Haridwar and Rishikesh.
Kanwar Yatra will run only on the prescribed route
The Police Department has prepared a route map for Kanwar pilgrims coming from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Saharanpur, Delhi-Meerut, Moradabad, Bijnor, Himachal and Rishikesh. Kanwar pilgrims will reach Haridwar only through the prescribed route.

Coordination being maintained after the interstate and inter unit coordination meeting
Recently, an interstate and inter unit coordination meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director General of Police Uttarakhand Abhinav Kumar. Officials from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, CRPF, Railway Protection Force, Intelligence Bureau participated in this meeting. By setting up a control room in Haridwar, officials of all the states are coordinating with Uttarakhand.
