The Nagar Panchayat administration team inspected the condition of garbage being dumped in the rivers and storm drains passing through Selakui. During this, he warned that the Nagar Panchayat administration will take strict action against those who dump garbage in rivers and drains. Under the leadership of Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer ML Shah, the Panchayat administration team inspected Asan river, rainy river Swarna and other rainy drains originating from Selakui. Seeing the garbage accumulated in the rivers, he expressed concern and said that such carelessness can become a threat to the existence of rivers and drains.
He said that despite continuous awareness programs being conducted for natural resources and environmental protection, such negligence should not be done. He warned that those who dump garbage in rivers and drains will be investigated and strict action will be taken.
