There is a relief news for the traders of the city who are waiting for the tourists that the Queen of Hills is going to be buzzing again in the coming days. There are three days of holidays in the capital Delhi due to the G-20 conference, hence a large number of people are reaching Mussoorie to visit. Hoteliers of the city say that calls for rooms are coming continuously from Delhi. Mussoorie Hotel Association President Sanjay Aggarwal said that till Thursday evening the average room occupancy in hotels has been 30 to 40 percent. The occupancy is expected to be 70 to 80 percent by Friday evening. Association Secretary Ajay Bhargava says that this weekend can prove to be a lifeline for the tourism business of Mussoorie which has been in a dying state for the last two months.
On Thursday, the faces of tourism businessmen lit up with the influx of tourists in Company Garden, Kempty Fall, Gunhill, Char Dukan, Bhatta Fall and nearby Dhanaulti. In-charge Kotwali Inspector Shankar Singh Bisht said that in view of the possibility of increase in the influx of tourists, a demand has been made from the administration to deploy additional police force so that the traffic flows smoothly.
