Uttarakhand is going to get the gift of the first Vande Bharat Express train. There is a wave of happiness in the state due to this step of the double engine government of the Center.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami tweeted that on May 25, the state is going to get the gift of Vande Bharat train from the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This train will run between Dehradun-New Delhi.
New chapter going to be added in the journey of development:
Chief Minister Dhami said that a new chapter is going to be added in the development journey of Uttarakhand under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In fact, after the coming of the Narendra Modi government at the center, the plan to expand the rail network in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand is also gaining ground.
The Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project is being considered as a game changer in terms of development of the state, convenience of pilgrims and strategic security. The stand of the Center is also positive on the Bageshwar-Tanakpur rail project in Kumaon division.
The Central Government has given the gift of Vande Bharat train to various states in the past months. Prime Minister Modi has been expressing his attachment towards Uttarakhand. In this episode, the Central Government has also made Uttarakhand stand in the line of selected states where Vande Bharat Express trains are operating.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train from New Delhi to Dehradun on May 25. Northern Railway General Manager Shobhan Chowdhary has already visited Dehradun railway station to prepare for the function to be held in this connection.
Specialties of Vande Bharat Express:
Vande Bharat is completely indigenously built and the fastest train in the country.
It can run at a speed of 180 kmph.
It is also equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
It has GPS based information system, CCTV, Wi-Fi enabled, vacuum based bio toilet, automatic sliding door and four emergency push buttons in each coach.
The trains are fully air-conditioned and have automatic doors.
The chair of the train can also be rotated up to 180 degrees.
The fare for AC chair car can be up to Rs 915 and for AC executive chair car can be up to Rs 1425.
Will start insurance scheme for journalists: Chief Minister
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released the half-yearly souvenir of Uttaranchal Press Club at the camp office on Friday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister assured that like Madhya Pradesh, insurance scheme for journalists will be started in Uttarakhand as well. The rules there will be studied in this regard.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is continuously working for the welfare of journalists. He instructed Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari to complete all the formalities related to construction of Press Club building and to implement the earlier announcement regarding providing permanent recognition to the journalists who were active during the state building movement.
Club President Ajay Rana and General Secretary Vikas Gusain along with office bearers and executive members of the club were present on this occasion.
