The first condition for a transparent system in elections and to eliminate the possibility of fraud is a solid voter list. The voter list is also updated from time to time on the instructions of the Election Commission of India. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the machinery of the Commission was busy in this work long ago. So that irrelevant names can be removed from the voter list in case of duplicate names, transfer and death etc. The electoral system had completed this work even before the election bugle was sounded. Under this, 1 lakh 77 thousand 619 names were removed from the voter list of 13 districts of the state.
These names were excluded for various reasons
According to the information recorded in the Chief Electoral Officer office, these names have been excluded from the voter list due to various reasons. Actually, to update the voter list, the District Election Officer in the districts gets the voters verified through BLO etc. Special camps are also organized to update the list.
