The Dhami government of the state is continuously moving forward on the policy of zero tolerance. This is the reason that in the last three years, Vigilance has put 63 officers and employees behind bars by making a record 54 traps. This action against the corrupt is still going on. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had said after assuming office that whether the corrupt is big or small, everyone’s place is in jail. In order to the instructions of the Chief Minister, Vigilance launched toll free number 1064 and mobile app, on which any person can give information regarding corruption. The Chief Minister himself kept reviewing them.
Acceleration in action against the corrupt
As a result, the action against the corrupt has accelerated. This year, i.e. in 2024, so far 16 traps and 21 corrupt people have been sent to jail. In the year 2013 also, 18 traps were made and 20 personnel were sent to jail. In the year 2022, 15 corrupt people were put behind bars in 14 traps and in the year 2021, seven corrupt people were put behind bars in six traps. Many big officers were involved in this. Among them, former IAS Ram Vilas Yadav, IFS RBS Rawat, Kishanchand, apart from many PCS, police and engineering branch officers had to go to jail. Even at this time, the vigilance is keeping an eye on many corrupt people. The Chief Minister has already made it clear that no matter how big the reach of the corrupt person is, he will not be able to escape the law.
